Italy

1. Florence: Church of Santa Croce in the piazza of the same name. The largest Franciscan church in the world was begun in 1295 on the site of an existing 13th Century church. Notables buried within its walls include Michelangelo, Galileo, Machiavelli, and Rossini. This was my favorite church in Italy- it is impossible to describe its beauty.
2.
Ponte Vecchio in Florence. This is where I purchased Barry's wedding band.
3. Rome: The Colosseum

4. Julie, Jessie and me in Pisa

5. Verona

6. On a gondola in Venice. Our gondolier was grumpy & talked on a cell phone!!!!

In April, I traveled to Italy with a group of students and my friends and fellow teachers, Julie Woodward and Jessie Jordan. We saw fantastic sights, beautiful countryside, and breathtaking art and historical relics. I will never forget this unique and gorgeous country.
